We got to break David out of his captivity for 4 hours this afternoon so he could watch part of Caleb's soccer tournament. It was great for all of us to be able to be together in this way, and it was especially wonderful for David, who kept commenting on how beautiful the sky looked!

That explains the urgent news bulletin that broke into the Michigan/Ohio State football game. They said that someone had escaped from a high security facility. Who would have guessed it would be my brother?!
It is great to see a picture of you out Dave! I'm sure you loved feeling the sun shine again!
You are all loved and thought of and prayed for often here!
By the way...did Caleb win?
So glad to see the pictures of you David, enjoying the sunshine! Happy to hear you were able to go watch Caleb's games!

To answer Tony's question:
Caleb's team won the first game 4-2 and lost the second in a hard fought 2-1 that gave the parents on the sidelines as much of a cardiovascular workout as the kids!
The tournament continues tomorrow. I'll try to remember to post the final standing of his team.
Wow, Dave looks great! It is so good to see him outside with the kids. I am so glad that he was able to breakout! And yes, the sky looks beautiful. There is something extra beautiful about the CA sky.
We are so glad to continue to hear stories of progress and successes and outdoor soccer games! We are thankful to know how God is sustaining you, and as I leave in a few minutes to pick mom up from the airport, I will be praying for God to equip all 5 of you for the daily tasks of life without a grandma there to do those basics. I trust that you'll find family and friend and church there to fill in the gaps. And Heidi, remember my offer! Our love to you all!
