More than Conquerors

My aunt had a plaque by her desk that said, “Grow where you are planted.” It always caught my attention.

Something else that always catches my attention is this tree (click on photo for larger image). Seeing the conditions in which it is growing brings to mind a couple of verses.

“ . . . we are more than conquerors in him who loved us.”
Romans 8:37b

“I can do all things in him who strengthens me.”
Philippians 4:13

Hey, Dan! I'm assuming you're home again. Welcome home! You know . . . your blog was part of my inspiration for getting into this, and I'm loving it! Thanks! We were thinking of you tonight - just got back from "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" and are eager for YOUR next musical to tour through our area!

Hmm . . . you must be wearing the wrong shoes, then. Try a different pair! (If it still doesnt' work, maybe I'll have to buy you some ruby slippers for Christmas!)

Aunt Pam used to have that quote near her drafting table. I remember it from visits to Illinois when we were first married and living in Battle Creek.
